I rarely make make long cards, so this challenge put me outside of my norm and I think I’ll doing this shape more often!!
Here is my take on the challenge:
Yesterday the children and I spent the afternoon with my friend Teri and her lovely children. We ended up at her house and got to talk about all things crafty. We laughed about all the ribbon we hoard, tools we had to have and never used and stamps we purchase and never ink up! Glad to know there are others out there too! Well this set is one of those that I have had for a while and never used. It is Time for You from Stampin Up. Thought it would be great on this card. The set also has a cute bike. Can’t wait to ink it up!
Thanks for stopping by!
Time just keeps rolling along! I find it hard to believe the kiddos start a new school year next week! With 90 degree temps, it hardly feels like school should be in session! Over the weekend I made a few cards to celebrate summer. Three just because I had never used the set and one for a little girl’s 2nd birthday.
I’m building up my Copic supply and starting to really “learn” how these babies work! So much to learn though! This stamp is one I have had for a loooong time, but never inked up! The set is Vacation from Stampabilities.
The fist two cards use Amuse note cards and the stamp set I mentioned above. The third card has stamps from Stampin Up (Year Round Fun II), Hero Arts (Layering Circles and Rain Drop Background), Impression Obsession (sentiment) and the Stampabilities Stamp Set. The patterned paper is Amuse. And of course Copics!
This last card was made for a little one celebrating her 2nd birthday with a popsicle theme. She had an ice cream truck come to the party and the children went crazy! I must admit I indulged too! Nothing like an ice cold “bomb pop” on a hot Saturday afternoon!
The paper is My Mind’s Eye (yes I know…I use that paper ALL the time, but I love it!) and the image is from My Cute Stamps “Sweet Kawaii“. The set has such adorable images!
I have been working on some note cards that my Mom asked me to make for her girlfriends. So excited to be able share them with you when they are complete!
Enjoy your day!
Trying to get this in before the deadline!
Here is my card:
Paper: Amuse, PTI and My Mind’s Eye
Stamps: My Cute Stamps
Thanks for looking!
Nothing like the last minute!
I used the Gelly Roll pen to and all the sparkle! Love this set (eek! A Monster!) from My Cute Stamps! The Amuse Tiny Gift and Tiny Hat worked perfectly on the tiny monster!
Paper: My Mind’s Eye
Stamps: My Cute Stamps and Amuse
Ugh! Hate that I had to take this at night! Time to think about getting a photo tent!! edit: I retook the photo and the colors look so much better!
Thanks for looking! Have a great weekend!
I never thought I would be the kind of stamper to forget what I own. But I guess it happens to the best of us (or maybe those of us who purchase too much!!). Anywho, I was looking for another set when I happened upon Year Round Fun II. This was the first set I purchased from Stampin’ Up. I fell in love with all of the cute images, but found it hard to use the images on their own. I have done small projects with some of the images, but some have never been inked up—I know, terrible! So I pulled the set out (and dusted it off!) and came up with these cards:
Then I pulled out another set that is similar in size from Stampendous and did this card:
I did not put a sentimate on the strawberry card. Looking for that perfect one!!
It was so great to throw together such a simple card. And once the “design” was done, so easy to duplicate! I have been working on a couple more with other fruit. I’m just thrilled to get ink on some of these stamps!
So what stamps will you pull out and use for the first time this week? I’d love to hear what you purchased and never used!!
All cards used Amuse notecards and gingham paper.
Have a great night!
Hope you had a wonderful 4th of July! Got to sneak some time in to complete this color challenge.
And boy was it a challenge! I love the bright pink and red together, but that green was just throwing me off! So after a few false starts, here is what I came up with:
Again, I went to Tiny Bird! He gets tons of ink around here!
Stamps: Amuse: bird, birdbath and grass, Hero Arts: tulip and flower, Papertrey Ink: sentiment, Autumn Leaves: flourish
Paper: Papertrey Ink and Making Memories
Ink: Palette, VersaMark
Copic Markers and Gelly Roll pens
Have a wonderful night!
This week we are on vacation at St Simon Island, Georgia. All of Greg’s family will be joining us on Thursday for our anual Family Trip. Since we were meeting so close to Sophie’s birthday, I decided to have her “family” birthday here while everyone is in one place. She wanted a “hula” birthday, so these are the invites I created:
I colored Hula Girl from Amuse with my Copic Markers and added a little bling with the new Spica Blossom pen! Super sparkly in person!
note card, cardstock, stamp, ribbon: Amuse; Copics and Spica Pens
Have a good one!
